Default BB 8800 - get email alerts but have to manually select Inbox folder

Please Login to Remove!

Hello All -

I tried searching without luck so I thought I'd ask and appeal to the experts.

I've got an att (Cing) 8800 with BES. It's recently developed a problem whereby I get a notification that a new email has arrived, but it doesn't show in the mail window. If I manually select the Inbox folder, it's there. After some delay (minutes or longer), it makes it back to the default top level.

What could have happened/did I inadvertently change to have caused this?

Thank you,
Mike

Default Resolved

Turns out that having "Hide Filed Messages" set to "Yes" was the problem. Changing the setting resolved the issue.
