"Unknown number"
 

With my new Blackberry Curve 8310 on AT&T, when I make a phone call it comes up as "Unknown Number" to the receiver of the phone call, instead of proper "caller ID" information.

I can't find a reason why my telephone number, at a minimum, doesn't show up as caller ID information when I make a call.

Any ideas?

go into the phone app, menu > options > general options > Restrict my identity

what setting do you have there

I had the same issue on my phone but it happened after i replaced the SIM card.

It was the carriers problem. On their backend system (PDA/BB support was only able to access that system), the caller ID presentaion feature was missing. After adding it, the problem was solved.



Note: I tried all the fixes that people stated on the forum and none of them worked.
