Default Exchange 2007 and syncing with BB 8830

Please Login to Remove!

Before I go plunk down my hard earned money for the 8830 I'd like to get a few opinions/real world stories about whether I'll have any problems syncing BIS with an Exchange Server 2007? I've had a couple of opinions that have really told me that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Should this concern me? My work email is thru Exchange 2007. I'm pretty sure OWA is accessible since I can get to my Outlook at home. Access to my work email thru push technology is the main reason for me wanting a BB in the first place.

I don't and won't have access thru BES so BIS is my only option. Please respond and let me know what you think. Thanks.

Unless the technology has recently improved, I thought you couldn't reconcile OWA 2007 with BIS.

BIS and OWA 2007 is still hit or miss. More hits than misses from what I gather.

Ok...so that sucks a little for me. If it doesn't work I guess the only way I can do this is to download the redirector software, which again I'm hearing is hit or miss?

Integrating BIS and OWA (2007) is dependent on a few things. The RIM support site has plenty of info on this. If Verizon is using BIS 2.4 and your company doesn't employ any security other than https, you should be ok.

I got my Pearl in April and we were on Exchange 2007 and could not integrate. All of a sudden in November/December it worked.

Your other alternative is to forward your email to a secondary account (GMail, Yahoo, or your "name@carrier.blackberry.net").

I have tried several times and have been unsuccessful in integrating my 8830.

SpeedFreak, I'm assuming you're trying to reconcile with OWA 2007? What are you going to do? A BB is useless to me if I can't get my work email.

Is OWA 2007 that rarely used still? Is everyone still on 2003? I'm surprised that BB technology hasn't kept up.
