Questions about BB switching from Palm Treo

I have been using Palm Smart Phones for years and Im really getting sick of how they can not take the wear and tear that I put on them from traveling. So I am deciding to switch to a BB Curve.
I was wondering

When you send Text Messages to people on the Palm the message are saved in a thread, and I heard from different people that BB do the same things and then some people told me no.

Has anyone switched to BB from Palms and how are you enjoying it?

BlackBerry does not support threaded SMS conversations.
