I've searched for other posts but cannot find a relevant answer.

I've got a BB Curve 8310 and I'l trying to download the Nexthaus syncml client trial.

However, I get this error

907 Invalid COD
HTTP ERROR 500: Internal Server Errror

I've tried speaking to Nexthaus but they say it is a BB issue (there 500 Internal Server Error must be a red herring then?). So, if the problem is with my BB then why with this app? I've downloaded Google Sync, Google Mail, Viigo etc with no problems.

Furthermore, I've tried up load the application via the Desktop Manager (which would be a first as I normally try to use OTA) and this is what happens:

1) I click on add
2) browse to the unzipped folder (contains lots of files including the syncje_bbclient.alx).
3) click open and it immediately says
"No additional applications desiged for your device were found"

Can anyone PLEASE shed some light here? It's as if my O2 Curve has been 'blocked' from downloading this app?! All I want is a nice little syncml client to work. I use Thunderbird and there is no way I want to export CSV files etc. I'd love it if there were an OTA Plaxo but nope.

I've tried the opensource syncml client but this seemed to mess up my email (oddly enough, I couldn't send or reply - strange).

I've installed the nexthaus syncje client on my 8130 w/out problem.

Well,
it just WON'T play ball with me.

Is this an issue with my 8310 (v4.2.2.181 Platform 2.5.0.35) or is this something to do with my carrier (o2 in the UK)?

Or is something else? For instance, the GPS wasn't working - nadda. I got thru to tech support and it turned out to be an erroneous IPPP entry in my Service Book - they told me to delete one (not IPPP for BIBS, the other one)and, later on, the GPS worked fine. I wonder if there is a similar service book isse here...

If someone else here with an 8310 has downloaded this app ok, could they let me know the software version so I can atleast eliminate that?

I am getting the same error with the 5ud0ku game. Any luck solving tis so far?

Are you able to get the jar files downloaded on your computers?

If so, heres a workarrond:

Download to computer, connect phone to computer trough USB, copy the files to your phone (memory card).
Use phone browser (media -> menu key, choose explore). Browse to where you placed the JAR file, select it and open, It should show you the download dialogue. Press download and it should install it (it will not use data traffic).

Do you have you phones operating system installed on your computer? Do a serach and you'll find plenty of posts on how to resolve the "no additional apps" error message.

Indeed I did. A workaround I will be using often I would think.

Glad you found it usefull, I use it all the time aswell.
Its a workarround which isn't much spoken about.. I don't know why tho..
