With all the FAQ's and threads, I still dont have a clear answer. There has been conflicting info. I would like to have contacts/addresses and calendar to sync wirelessly. Email is working fine. We have a BES, but i dont know which version. What do i need to do this?

You need to contact your BES admin. If you are on BES 3.6, go into the Desktop manager and open intellisync and click configure PIM. Highlight the calendar option and click choose. select blackberry wireless sync. In my expirience, I always have to resend the IT policy for the user before the wireless calendar will work. I don't believe contacts will sync wirelessly on BES 3.6.

If you are on a 4.0 BES, I am under the impression that all of the wireless sync settings can be set by the admin. Both calendar and contacts.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Contacts do not sync wirelessly prior to 4.0
The handheld will also need to be 4.0 for any of that to work.
