Default NEw Desktop PIm configuration

We are having an issue when setting up some new users for Blackberry. BES is on a Domino r651 works OK for lots of users. We install the desktop manager on the laptop/desktops version 4.0.0.30. or 4.0.0.33. The desktop manager picks up the location doc and BES server fine. However when I try to configure the PIM settings to select Lotus Notes 5.0/6.0 through the Intelysync button and the address book settings, the translator's cannot be selected. All lotus translators are greyed out. The users have admin access to their machines, but no difference. I have tried moving the notes.ini and the names.nsf locally. No help. Has anybody seen this problem before and can suggest a solution please?

You mean the local machine (where Desktop Manager is installed) does NOT have the Lotus Notes client installed in it already?

If so, this is most likely your problem. You need to have a Lotus Notes client installed and configured on the same machine as Desktop Manager.

Yes the Notes Client is installed on the same machine. But normally on desktops, the notes.ini and names.nsf are on the users home drive.
