And it stopped working? I hope you complained.

I started on a 7230 and upgraded to a 7100 about 4 months ago. Haven't had a problem in 3 years of using BBs.

Rim 850 with Motient (Service provider was the original Ardis Network when I first began service). Horrible battery life due to its 2 watt transmitter and constant handshaking with network. Reliable service and good coverage, including Anchorage!

Rim 950 with Bell South Wireless Devices (Mobitex Network later acquired by Cingular - and since sold off by Cingular). Much better battery life. Usually a week or more on a single alkaline AA. Good coverage. Very reliable service.

Rim 7230 with T-Mobile. Great battery life! Lousy coverage, unless you're in the middle of town or on a freeway. (T-Mobile does, however, have excellent customer service.) I gave it to my 10-year old daughter when I got my...

Rim 7250 with Verizon Wireless. My current Blackberry. OUTSTANDING coverage, great device. No problems. It's a keeper. (Hey, it'd sure be nice to add a speakerphone and voicedialing to complete the package.)

Speakerphone would be the berries. (pun intended). Even an add-on device with speaker capability would be okay.

you daughter has the 7230? Lucky girl. Depending on her age, she may not think it's really cool though.

It was her temporary cellphone/email/web device while my wife and I cruised the Hawaiian Islands last week and she stayed with her grandparents. It still has a few months left on the T-Mobile contract. When that expires, it will become her address book/calendar, minus the wireless connectivity!

Speaking of Hawaii, lemme tell ya: Verizon Wireless coverage on the islands rocks, including 15-25 miles out to sea! Other passengers on the ship were cursing their GSM cellphones. Those with Verizon (and Sprint roamers) had no problems at all.

I have had 3, all 7280's. Believe it or not, I just found out about the customizations available and that has opened a whole new world to me - now I love it! I am on Cingular Blue (ATT), and have had a problem with the phone turning itself off, got that replaced, then had a sticky key in the center of the keyboard, plus it kept dropping calls...so I bought one off e-bay at the advice of the Cingular Data support dude. Good deal ($66, and like NEW!), but stuck IT Policy from previous owner. Working through that now. love the apps and flexibility. Missing the email though!

I'm on my third in a little under 2 months.

First was a T-Mobile 7230, loved the product, hated the T-Mobile service, so cancelled it in my free trial period.

Second was a Verizon 7250, loved the product, loved the service, but it kept giving me weird sporadic errors and crap, so I exchanged it.

Third is a Verizon 7250, working great, except sometimes when I turn it on, in order to turn on the Radio, it resets itself.

So far so good. The Blackberry I recieved this time seemed to be a new unit. The outer case looked and felt like new.It was also a lighter grey than my previous units.I think the first couple of units looked like refurbed units but i am not sure.
When I was without my Blackberry for a couple of days I was a miserable sob....Man I love my Blackberry!!! Ya think I need help??

I am on my third the first two 7520's were messed up after downloading programs from handango.com. I have not gone back there and now use rimroad.com and have had great luck. I also know a place that does same day swaps (small fee though).

5th Edition..
1st - 6750 had 3 days until I messed it up trying to sync it using a usb-serial converter (later, could have fixed it, but was waay too perplexed)
2nd - 6750 replaced the prior unit, and worked well for 2.5 months, until I snapped the trackwheel while wearing on hip with seatbelt, and acting 'a fool.
3rd - 6750 replaced prior unit and worked well for about a year and a bit, until the charging port on the unit literally wore out
4th - 6750 replaced prior unit and worked for a month, until Bell Mobility called and said that they wanted it back, as they shouldn't have replaced it over the Warranty...so it was sent back.
5th - 7250...finally in the world of colour, and is absolutely awesome. I've been beating the heck out of it it seems, tons of dust, heat, drops, sleeping ontop of it, and it works and looks almost "out of the box"...have had it for like 3-4 months now.

Have had a 7290 with Cingular since it first came out in the fall of 2004. Absolutely rugged and bug-free, except for the darn volume...
