Default How to install BB Weather from .zip file

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

I've downloaded a zip file for BB Weather. Once I unzip, can anyone tell me how to install to the BB using DM?

Thanks,
Grampy

Welcome to the forums, Grampy.

Along with Desktop Manager, you also need to have the OS for your BB installed on your PC. Once you have that, you connect your BB to your PC, start DM, launch the Application Loader, click the Add button, navigate to the unzipped file and then Next/Finish.

Or you can download BBWeather from this link (use your BB browser to go to this page), right over the air:

Thanks-----The OTA link will not load on the BB, so I'll try the zip file method thru DM.

Thanks, Mr.K

I am getting a message when I specify the comm. port that it will give me a new encryption key??? This may be bnecause I am using a different PC with DM than the one I usuallt use. (Yes---I have both software pakgs, installed----DM and the OS. However the OS software version on the 2nd PC is a later release than the first PC with the OS, so I thik I need to get them the same if I intend to ujse 2 different PC's for DM application loading. I'll do a searsch for the OS software versions and get them synched.

I have no luck with that link either on my laptop or 8130.

Well........I installed the .zip with no problems. Then, starting the app., I got the message that my company's IT policy forbids that connection.

I'll now stick with bookmarks for weather.com and Accuweather.
