Ok I've just about had it with my 7290 my third might I mention... First had a faulty "H" key, Second had a bad MIC and now its the scroll, depressed and won't pop back. WTF is with RIM's build quality of late? My wife went through some 2-3 7100 before she opted to go back to her 7780 as well. Like her maybe its a sign that I didn't sell my 7780 the "ToughBerry" of the fleet is you ask me. New features and all are great don't get me wrong but they really don't mean much if the units keep failing... Please RIM tell me there's a 7790 coming my way?

Wirelessly posted (7250: BlackBerry7250/4.0.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

My RIM contacts have mentioned many times that a "ruggedized" version of the BB is forthcoming. They have not indicated which form factor will be used.

However, my impression is they like the 72xx profile...almost all of their product is available only in the smaller profile. So you may want to hold onto that 7780 for now!
