I found this site out of desperation so please excuse me if this has been asked before, i searched but am relatively new to the BB (four months) and am not up on the BB pertinent vocabulary.
I currently have cingular as a provider and am an independent small business owner using the BB 7100g to keep track of email correspondences when out with clients and away from my desk. I've run into a rather aggravating problem though and am hoping someone may be able to offer me a solution here.
Currently, all mail which is emailed to my primary work address is forwarded to my blackberry email (*@mycingular.blackberry.net). This has been working very well until I started receiving large attachments from clients.
The forward in place (from a private domain i own though i'm not the most proficient at programming so I’m just using the standard cpanel interface to set up mail and forwarding) sends all mail which hits my primary work address to the BB as mentioned and I've not found an option to exclude attachments when forwarding. Given that my work email has a capacity of 10GB, and the mycingular.blackberry.net a capacity of 10MB, the incongruencey is holding me back and prompting a flodd of emails to my client indicating my email account is full, when this is hardly the case. The primary email account has gigs free, but the blackberry fills up very quickly as a result of the forward.
Basically, I am looking to have my mail forwarded to the BB (the whole reason i purchased one) but in some fashion which prevents the cingular account from filling up all the time. Any suggestions?
I had thought of adding a pop account to outlook so my laptop (when on when i was with it) would automatically pull all the mail from the cingular account lessening the chance of the out of space automated message, though I'm not sure if it can be checked through pop.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
