Unhappy Trouble accessing the Internet in Brazil

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

A client of mine did buy a 7290 from T-Mobile, had it network-unblocked, did bring it to Brazil, and is trying to use it with a local SIM card, but the "APN recipe" does not seem to work. That means going into settings and then filling TCP/IP with the local APN data. But there are HRT (host routing tables) that can't be edited and they point to 206.x.x.x addresses. Also, I cannot find where to fill the local cell phone company Proxy address.

It is not clear to me how BB works. If it connects to the Internet like any other TCP/IP device/phone (like my Nokia 6230 does) of if it connects to a Blackberry Network and then to the Internet.

To make a long story short. Are there any chances or getting it to work with TIM in Brazil, or I may need to put the T-Moblie SIM card back to make it work.

Thanks in advance.
