Hi everyone:

I am using 8703e on Verizon with BIS. When I send an email from my blackberry it displays my email address in the recipients inbox rather than my display name. i.e. when I send a message it is displayed in their inbox as instead of "Joe Smith". I have looked on BIS settings and I have my display name filled in. I tried deleting it, and then putting it back in, and resending my service books but it still isn't working. Has anyone else experienced this or heard of this happening? Any suggestions????

Or it could be that your address hasn't been tagged as "Joe Smith" in the recipient's address book.

I thought that was it but they said that when I send emails from my gmail account actually using gmail on my computer it shows up as "Joe Smith" and that it only says "whateveremail@gmail.com" when I send it form my BB.

Hmm.. and you've already filled in the Your Name field on BIS, deleted/re-added the account, re-sent service books etc... Have you already tried to do a battery-pull though?
