Accepted meeting requests on Blackberry We have a BES V4, with a large number of devices from 6750 to 7250. Several users state that when they accept a meeting request on their blackberry, the meeting does not post in Exchange. So when they get back to their desktop, no meeting is scheduled. Outlook is set to Wireless sync. This is not happening to all users, only a small portion. |
Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7230/4.0.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1) I'm curious... If you don't have BES, can you still accept meetings and have them schedule. I'm one of only a few BB users and have to use the BWC. |
cbotd - you can not accept meeting invitations unless you are on a BES. Jimcollins - is there any pattern to the problem (all 6750s or something)? What version of the handheld OS are they running? |
Wireless synchronisation of the calendar also needs be activated on the handset. Check the version of CDO.dll registered on the BES machine is the correct version that matches your Exchange/Outlook Environment. [See the pre-installation tasks in the BES4 installation guide] if that is ok delete the [CICAL] and [SYNC] service books from the handset, reset and re-generate encryption keys. |
There does not seem to be a pattern. It will happen on a 7750, 7230, 7280, 7250. We use Verizon and Cingular carriers on BES V4.0. NO pattern. One day it will work for someone and the next day it may not. No errors are generated in the server logs. |
Rancor is probably on to something. Most random calendar problems are related to CDO.DLL - the Exchange servers and BES must have the same version. |

Rancon - give me the ID10T user instructions for "reset and re-generate encryption keys." |
