What would one have to do to get a BB Pearl 8130 ready for sale on the used market?

I would back it up with Desktop Manager and/or sync to Outlook, do a wipe at Options > Security > General Options > Menu > Wipe Handheld.

You may then want to delete more third party applications via Options > Advanced Applications.

Remove the PIN from your BIS account.

1. clean the device through out, make sure there are no finger prints, streaks, etc...
2. a wipe of the device (back up before doing this if necessary)
3. fresh install of the latest OS
4. make sure you give what you've promised
