Default Redirector forwarding to BB but not my PC!

Please Login to Remove!

I have noticed a strange problem with my 7510 (Nextel) that has suddenly appeared. I am NOT using BES, but have selected the Redirector to forward my emails as I have both work (Exchange server) and personal POP3 email accounts being forwarded to my BB. This was working just fine until recently. I have installed the Blackberry Desktop software service pack 1. The Redirector seems to be forwarding mail from both these accounts to my Blackberry, but suddenly emails from my personal account no longer appear on my PC! I have a POP3 email account through Verizon that I have had set up to come in on both my work PC and my home PC. Now the emails from this one account seem to STOP at the Blackberry. I have "Leave messages on server" checked on both machines, using Outlook 2003. I have Webclient service book on my BB. I'm sure I have something set up incorrectly, but am confused because this had been working fine before. The only recent change I made was the installation of the service pack desktop software on my work machine. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Redirector only works with one email account. I'm assuming your POP email is coming through the BIS(BWC) account you have setup with Verizon. If your POP email is not coming in on Outlook (or similar), make sure you have all the correct information setup (mail server, login info) for the account. There should be no reason that the BB is getting email and your Outlook isn't unless you have configured in the BIS account to NOT leave a copy of messages on the server. By default, it is set to leave a copy.

Default sorry, but.............

What is BIS account? The emails are not coming in on my home PC, as they always did before. I don't understand what you mean about BWC with Verizon. My Outlook settings have not changed, and it's always been set to leave messages on server. And Redirector is forwarding BOTH email accounts to the Blackberry, but they stop there.

Interesting. My suggestion would be to use a different client for your POP mail, and to set up the POP account in the BIS/BWC. This should clear up the problem, while providing the additional benefit of having your work replies appear to be "sent from" your work addr, and your personal replies "sent from" your POP addr.

The BIS/BWC is the web client that polls for your POP mail every few minutes and pushes it along to your BB. As salsa suggested, the BIS/BWC may be intercepting and deleting your POP mail before it hits Outlook, but since you're apparently not using BIS/BWC, I guess it's some Outlook-POP-redirector quirk.
