Default BB other sync solutions?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all.
I am very gald that I found this site. Hopefully I can stop yanking my hairs off with the BB problems I have. Hopefull someone can help this newbie out.

We currently run Exchange 2003, The two owners have BB 7100T. They would like to sync contacts, calendars, emails, and tasks. Only problem is that it is not very cost effective to pay so much money for enterprise server for 2 users.

So far what i have done is set Exchange to forward copies of emails to both users. The problem here is that there is no sync, so when they check emails on phone they also need to go and mark as read on computer and vise versa. The exchange does not know that emails have been replied. When you receive close to 250 emails per day as they do this can be a very cumbersome problem. What i have done is a mere temp solution. For sync of contacts and everything else they do it via usb.

I know there are people with BB's out there that they too do not have enterprise server. So i call out to you the experts to see what other type of solutions you have found for people with the same problem as I.

Your help is appreciated.

From what I can see, you have your users setup on BIS (BWC). In order for the messages to be marked as read, enable POP access on the Exchange server and integrate their accounts with the respective BIS accounts. When the BIS servers access the email from the Exchange server, it will mark them as read. Check the link for more information.

An alternative to this, is to setup the users on desktop redirector. They will be able to send/receive using their exchange mailbox and they can reconcile as well. This way you would only have to connect your BB once to your desktop and do a reconcile now for all the emails.
