Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) is, as its name suggests, the ability to send messages comprising a combination of text, sounds, images and video to MMS capable handsets.

I guess I asked my question the wrong way.

What can you do with MMS with TMobile in a 7290? I read in the following message that MMS is not supported by Blackberry, Newbie thinking of BB

Is that "Compose MMS" just an useless menu item that keep teasing me?

Can't receive or send MMS messages on my 7100t. When I send, it fails. When somebody sends one to me, I just get an e-mail from Rogers with a URL to view an image.

I had an ATTW 7290 until last week when I had it replaced under warranty because the vibrate function quit working.

A refurbished 7290 arrived with a blank decal under the spacebar. The old BB booted up with an ATT splash screen, this one boots up with a Blackberry splash screen (same as Internet Browser). I also noticed MMS in the Options and menus. Guess it's really nothing special at this time.

Made me wonder if this is an ATTW, a Cingular, or a generic RIM BB, locked or unlocked. hmmm.
