Default Same post more info - SPAM - Verizon

Please Login to Remove!

I've posted this issue before. But think I finally have a better grasp of what is going on.

I don't use the my email address provided by Verizon. I use my home email address via my personal domain name. The way my email works is any email that goes to mydomain.com gets forwarded to my email comcast account. I don't have my own mail server. Now when mail is sent to mydomain.com is goes through comcast spam filters and decreases the incoming spam 10 fold. I set up mydomain.com to send email directly to my verizon email address so I don't have to use the redirector. I'm a laptop user so redirector doesn't run all the time and isn't a good solution for me. What this means is all mail and I mean all main going to mydomain.com doesn't get filters and goes right down to my bb7250. Lot's of spam and the filters in the verizon web client is terrible.

Any suggestions?

Some service to direct my verizon email to third party filter system then get to my device?

Thanks

If your comcast email is pop3 enabled, you can setup BWC to poll the comcast account.

Default Ok

So then I don't have my domain forward email to my verizon. I just have the bwc grab my comcast email?

Correct?

Yes, but it only does that every certain interval. You don't get your email until the BWC polls.

Default sounds good

I'm ok with that. Now this morning I had 10 or so bb messages like this:

This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry Handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server.

BEGINETP 106
Ad/Sn6YAAAAAIBAIMzAwQTg2NDggD2xhbmNlQGhhcmxhbi5jYwC6w IW6UAVDTUlNRQNAgICA
gDIAADAxOTQ4RTcyNytHKzEAaK9zFwQ0141koKb3iPLySAAZwT G1YVVburFSPbQKF9X/Kg!!
ENDETP -347293391

Is that because I still have the redirector on my laptop configured? The redirector isn't on.

Thanks again for your assistance.

SGM-CO.

Yes those messages are as a result of redirector, what i did was deleted the desktop software and reinstalled not using the redirector option, I guess you could always set up filters at the BWC to filter those messages out. I have found that the BWC filters work well but that you have to set up many at first since you are only allowed four things per filter.
