Unhappy Blackberry Browser Dropping Sessions

I'm the lead web programmer at a large K-12 school district and developer of our in-house web content management system. Our superintendents would really like to be able to edit pages from their phones, so we've been testing & building against several mobile browsers... Opera Mini, IE, Blazer, Blackberry Browser.

Everything's going great, BUT... When logged in using the Blackberry Browser, users' sessions just randomly drop. This ONLY happens in the Blackberry Browser, and we've checked all cookie settings and there's nothing malformed about the cookie... Path is set to root, expiration is set several days in the future, domain settings are default (blank).

All users testing this so far are T-Mobile users. My best guess is that the cookies are choking on the blackberry proxy (e.g.

Does anyone know why this is happening, and do you have any suggestions for correcting or circumventing this problem? Thanks!
