Default Unlock BlackBerry but can't data access

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I unlocked my blackberry 7100t, and my device now always shows "Data connection refuse". My subscription of blackberry service is still on but I can't receive mail. Can someone help me?

Call your carrier and make sure that the SIM card account has the BlackBerry Data Service properly provisioned. Data Connection Refused generally indicates no BlackBerry Data Plan.

Thanks for your reply.
By the way, when I'm out of country, and use local telecom SIM card that comes with data service (I have verified by SonyErission phone). Why the 7100t shows data connection refuse?

Default No Data access

Your SIM must be provisioned for BlackBerry data, not just any data. Having GPRS on a SIM does not equate to having BlackBerry data access.

If you have BlackBerry data service on your SIM and you are roaming with that SIM (outside the country), and get the Data Connection Refused error message, try manually connecting to a different carrier (Options->Network-> set Network Selection Mode to "Manual", and choose one of the displayed carriers). This quite often happens to me while roaming in the region (Southeast Asia). Manually switching to another carrier solves the problem.

Thank you.
I tried my 7100t with T-Mobile SIM card (Blackberry service enabled) and manually switching 4 carriers for 40 min. in Taiwan, but always get data connection refuse.
I wonder if the "unlock SIM" causes data connection refuse. The "unlock SIM" instruction is from T-Mobile's support, do anyone have the same problem?

In a carriers system (Switch) you have to have and International bar lifted to enable you to use your device internationally, now I'm not sure about T-Mobile's systems but you may want to call them and ensure that you have International Data enabled on your service.
