Default My 7290 does not give me the option to send SMS Message

Please Login to Remove!

I just got a blackberry 7290 and it does not give me the option to send SMS Message. I am using AT&T can someone help

If the device has an IT policy on it the SMS function could have been disabled. Go to Options > Security Options > General Setting. Scroll down to see if an IT Policy is listed. If anything is listed then you have an IT policy. No way to tell if that policy is blocking SMS. If your connected to a BES server contact your system admin for help.

I was able to do it with my 7250. Have you tried resending the service books.

within the mailbox icon, you click the trackball and dont see compose SMS?

Of course, options SMS text - disable choose no
