Set Up An Existing Email Account

To add your Yahoo!® email account, you must first enable POP (Post Office Protocol) access within Yahoo!.

I want to add a different email account.
I have enabled POP access to my Yahoo! email account and want to add it.

There has never been a requirment of Yahoo Premium Services in the past. I don't understand why it is asking you that now.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

I can't imagine the problem either. I originally added yahoo via the handheld and have since deleted and added back via the BIS web portal at tmobile. (I have the free yahoo email.)

To the OP, can you describe your situation and how you are doing it?

If your wireless carrier is MTN from South Africa, you may have different features enabled (disabled) than American or European blackberry users. Their experience does not apply.

Call your carrier support line and ask if signing for Yahoo mail is feature which is enabled for your blackberry.

One of the issues with wap, can't see poster's profile. Could very well be a carrier issue, and the reason we (US members) haven't seen it.

My Carier is MTN Nigeria, and previously when i got the blackberry november last year, i used to get yahoo mail pushed to my blackberry, after sometime, i deleted it, and now i am trying to add the same yahoo account, i am encountering these problems.

this is the response i get when i am told to activate POP on my yahoo mail

Set Up An Existing Outlook / Outlook Express Account

Those settings don't appear to ask for any Premium Yahoo services.
