If you subscribe to an MDS, does that mean you have access to a BES?

I currently subscribe to MyBlueBerry.com MDS. It says I can sync my BlackBerry wirelessly but I don't think it's working.

And also, I'm trying to set up my Outlook XP using their settings but unfortunately, I'm stumped as to what to plug in to Outlook.

Can somebody help? I'm using a 7250 TELUS Mobility on WinXP.

As far as I know, the MDS is just part of the BES package. You can verify if your on a BES by checking a setting on your BB. If you have no issues sending/receiving email, go to options and then go to service book. Find the "Desktop [CMIME]" entry, click the trackwheel and select view. If the UID field says has a number starting with a S (eg S123456) that means you are on a BES.

As to synching with your Outlook, you have to make sure that desktop manager is installed for use with a BES. You should have no issues synching as long as you dont have Outlook 2000 Internet Mail Only installed (a version that can't sync).

The UID shows my home e-mail address. Is there anyway I can change this?

If the UID shows an email address it means you are setup on redirector, which also means that in order for it to be working, your Outlook would already had to been correctly setup. Is your email currently working?

E-mail works but unfortunately, I am not able to setup my Outlook with the settings MyBlueBerry.com has provided. I may need some help with this.

Wow I just got a reply from their tech team saying that only Outlook 2003 is supported.
