I have a BB7230 on T-mobile. By mistake I deleted many applications on my BB including phone service. What I did were;

1) I have used PocketDay 2.52 and updated to 2.54 today, then I encountered an error described in Problem with PocketDay 2.5 #1

2) I thought to follow direction in JVM error 523 - system hung #14

3) Just before erasing existing OS as 2), I intended to erase the OS and apps completely before the reinstall. I deleted all the apps with application loader, not only checking off the applicaion boxes but also deleting the entries.

4) I followed 2) to delete the existing OS, and reinstalled the OS with application loader.

5) I could get back the OS and e-mail, addressbook and calender apps, but options for phone, memopad and browser did not appear on the application loader. I can't retrieve them.

I am completely at a loss. Any help will be appreciated.

However, I couldn't detect what "radio software" indicates. Phone apps still not appear on application loader selections.

hmm let me look into it more and see what else I can come up with

why not wipe usb wipe the phone and reinstall everything?

Thanks for comment. As I wrote #1 4), I did from command prompt "javaloader.exe -usb wipe" then tried to reinstall everything. But phone or memopad apps did not appear on install list, because I had deleted the entries before.

go to the app loader and recheck them. if they dont appear there then reinstall the desktop software too.

The phone app doesn't appear in the application loader all the time. Some BlackBerries have the Phone app tied to the OS. What this means is that if you accidentaly delete a phone module, you may not be able to instal just that module. You'll have to re-load the OS in the handheld.

So look at your application loader, if you don't see the Phone app by itself, then you will have to reload the OS.

Per your suggestion I reinstalled the desktop manager. Things unchaged. I can't find any app entries on application loader.

As I did on #1 4), I reloaded the OS. But phone app did not accompany.

my suggestion to you is to wipe the phone with the javaloader, then
two options
1. uninstall the desktop manager. make sure it is completely gone. (delete the Research In Motion folder from program files )then restart your computer

OR

easier 2. load the software from a different computer that does not recognize your previos settings.

I just traced your seggestion. I did javaloader wipe, uninstalled the desktop manager, deleted Research In Motion folder, restarted PC, installed desktop manager and installed the BB OS. No improvement. My BB has no phone icon on it.

lol i think you might have hidden the phone icon. try to hold the alt key and click on any icon and choose show all. see if the phone icon shows up. also if you hit the alt esc combination do you see the phone app running there.

no no thats not it! not after a fresh os install. are you installing the right software for your phone? go to tmobile.com and make sure you have the software thats right for you.

I am sure I have the correct revisions.

I would delete all DM and OS make sure to remove all traces delete research in motion file in program files remove from registry

the do a fresh install of DM then OS

hit alt cap h to check.

I did the fresh install of DM and OS on #12.

I confirmed DM is 4.0.0.30 and OS is 4.0.0.185
I sent a question to T-Mobile.
When I javaloder wiped, the phone restarted and showed an error icon of #507 (I am not sure the #). Then I could reinstall OS by DM but phone.
