what is a good range for the signal strength? what does uptime mean?

The higher the number the better
-100dBm puts you in the realm of it might not work.
-80dBm is good
or like me:
-66dBm is great :D

Edit: Nevermind the stuff below, you're right ;)

I thought the less the number the better?

Ie: -90 is better than -20 as far as signal interferance goes.

As far as uptime counts go - seconds are normal.

To note UNIX systems (and many others) calcuate the date as seconds past 00:00 Jan 1, 1970
