Default calendar question

Hi. can anyone tell me what the "mark as private" in the calendar is for? I thought it would not show what a specific appt. is, but it doesn't appear to do anything?

I will answer this in regards to the full version of Outlook on a PC. I have a shared calendar with a person at work, and so I can see her calendar and mine at the same time. If you mark something as private then they can see an appointment from you, but can not see what the appointment is. Also you need to put in the subject line the words private, then in the comments put in the appointment, that way it will show as private, but not give the information away. I'm not sure if you're question was about the Blackberry appointment or the Outlook appointment on your PC, I'll mess with mine and get back to you, but I think the private only applies to you not wanting to share that information with others, but on a blackberry I don't think it applies.
