Just received my 1st BBerry (from sprint), 7250. Was using a Treo 650 decided to make the change. Everything seems to be ok except the following:

1)Receive emails: Fine
2)Reply to emails: Fine
3)Send new composed emails: NO does not send, get the red X

have spoken to sprint to no avail. What do I do?

Resend yourself a copy of the service book. You should be able to do this from your BIS/BWC account, or talk to your BES admin.

Default Did the service book thing

Did the service book thing but still having the same exact problem as above. Sprint support has to have someone else get back to me but I don't think they are to smart up there. Need help real bad.

Also, should I call Blackberry tech support? Will they charge me?

Thanks

If you don't have T-Suppor they will. How are you getting your email? Are you connected to a corporate BB server or useing Blackberry Web Client?
The messages you send with the red X, open one up and see what error it says and report it here. That will help in determining what needs to be done.

Answer:
BB Web Client:everything goes thru my laptop. I have email accounts with yahoo(Business) & NYC Road runner(personal). Yahoo account is set up as redirecting email in redirector settings of Desk top manager.

Answer:
Message status:Transaction error - timeout

Thanx, all help is appreciated.

Well, first thing I would think is resubmitting a service book.

If you are sending using your yahoo account and your laptop is not on, redirecting, you will get that error. When you go to send a message, at the very top of the message, it will say using: (either desktop or Webclient) You can change it to either when you highlight it and press the space bar. Try sending with each and see which one is the one failing. My guess is it is your yahoo account using desktop and the laptop isn't connected to email.

Go to Options and message services. Set the Default to Webclient.
