Default Leather Cases

I saw a nice leather case on the Blackbetty.net site. Question is do they have the small magnet disc so the BB knows its in the holster? Hate to get one and find out it doesn't work like the plastic hoslter.

Yes, all the OEM Blackberry cases include the magnet to auto off the Blackberry. Its usually consealed inside behind the Blackberry logo.

Does that include these "active" holsters (both vertical and horizontal) also having the magnet in place?

Folks, what kind of case would you recommend for a 7290? I've tried the OEM leather pouch with belt clip and the plastic holster (from my 7280) but they both sucked. The leather case is way too bulky and the holster isn't too kind to my LCD.

I have the horizontal active holster. I've been using it for about 3 months, and I love it. It is more bulky than the original plastic holster, but it fits closer to my body than the plastic one did when I had it in horizontal orientation. I always felt like I had wings when I turned the plastic one to horizontal. It takes a little time to get used to putting the Blackberry in and out of the active holster, but it gets easy. And, I've never seen a more secure Blackberry case.

I have the horizontal active case and I feel like every time I pull the BB out of the case that the belt clip starts to come off my belt. Does this happen to you?

And I can only assume that being a case from RIM it does have the power-down magnet in it as well, is that a safe assumption? I am really interested in the horizontal active case.

Another question for those who use the horizontal active case is does the belt clip itself open as much as the traditional plastic case? The reason I ask is that I purchased a Skin Tight case from Speck Products and was dissatisfied with the way the belt clip seemed to barely open. I travel 100% for my job and find it annoying to be fighting with the belt clip prior to going through airport security as I did with the Skin Tight case. I never had that problem with the RIM-manufactured plastic case.

Not sure if I like the horizonal or vertical active case. So far (only 2 days) I keep my BB in the vertical position in the holster and it seems fine..... matter of taste I guess.

Has anyone seen the VZW case with the snap they have on their web site? Wonder if it has the magnet?

Has anyone seen this case? I've had one for my 7100t for e few weeks now and like it. Stumbled across it while searching the internet. Puts the handset to sleep, can wear it horizontal or leave it vertical, etc., etc.

Looks nice. How far so the unit stick out from your body? More than the plastic holster?
