Default Caller ID not screening the callers name (prefix is different), any solution?

Please Login to Remove!

Because of history, in Russia the mobile number looking like +7(212)555-1111 will look like 8(212)555-1111 as incoming call (so first number - the country code is not as in address book).

Literrally ANY previous phone I used (various Nokias, Sony Ericssons and even Apple Iphone) were correctly recognizing this substitution and putting the name of calling party from the address book on screen.

Not the Blackberry (8120).

Is there any solution to avoid it?

Thank you so much. This is very annoying.

have you looked in... open your call screen, hit menu, choose options, smart dialing, and then change the country code to the correct one for russia...

have you checked that?
