I just today upgraded from an 8700g to a Curve. Not having a backup (I know..) I need to start re-creating address book entries. I've got a basic set from my SIM card, but want to connect to my mac using missing sync and try to pickup all my address book entries that way. Will there be any issues with conflicts between what's present from the SIM card and what will occur when I sync to my mac?

The SIM card normally does not conflict but what do you mean " missing sync"

What have you got to loose, just a lot of typing and at each key stroke you will say to yourself Backup, backup, backup.................

The only conflict might be duplicates from your SIM card, and what is synced in to the AddressBook. Just delete those records on the SIM card later after you have also imported the contacts from your SIM
