I have the Curve (8330) with Verizon. Currently, I have the Unlimited Personal Plan for $29.99 a month.

Tonight I called in to turn on tethering and they told me I had to pay $30 a month or upgrade my plan to the $44.99 and only pay $15 a month. This seems unfair to me and possibly incorrect. Has anyone had any experience with this or know if this is true or not?

you should only have to pay $15/month. they are looking at an older policy without realizing it (nor do they care, b/c they are charging you more $$$). ask to speak with a supervisor and tell them that the policy has changed and it no longer costs $30/month for tethering...no matter what data play you are on

I called in twice to confirm it. They also told me they are running a promotion where I get the first month free. So how can they be running a promotion that they offered me but quoting me a higher price?

There are many threads here advising that its available at the 15.00 look up demon on the forums and he can get it going for you like he has many.

Can anyone confirm that they are personally on the unlimited $29.99 plan and are getting tethering for $15.00?
