Hey all I did a search on this topic and some really old posts on it that were closed with no answers to my question.

My question is can I permanatly keep the pre loaded bookmarks(ones that came with phone from tmobile) closed some how so I dont have to scroll through them to get to my bookmarks? Or even better is there a way to just delete them? Thanks in advance

Yes, you can collapse that portion of the book mark list.

I could be mistaken but I don't think they stay closed when you exit out on O.S. 4.2. I know they do on O.S. 4.3.

I was wondering this same thing but hadn't gotten around to searching it so I'm glad someone asked. Silly OS 4.2!

I dont think they do on os 4.2 i have been trying but every time i open it again they are opened

It's there noting you can do until O.S. 4.5 comes out...

you can delete the WAP service books.

this will remove all folders but "Links" (RIM's conrtibution) and "Blackberry Bookmarks", plus those you added yourself. the t-zones and "Carrier Bookmarks" (4.5) will return periodically as the Service Books are pushed back to your handset. just delete them again.


there was a thread way back that specifically listed the Service Books to delete, but i've never been able to locate it again whenever this question arises. a title search for "bookmarks" resulted in this thread and this thread (and many many more, though not the one i wanted!).

I'm running 4.2 and once collapsed, the folders stay collapsed. Not sure what I did differently... But it can be done.
