Default Curve - can't delete e-mails prior to current day

I've got a 8300 that will not delete e-mails from the handheld unless they are from the current day. You can try to delete e-mail from prior days, but nothing happens, they just sit there, mocking me.

Pulling the battery, resending the service book and the IT policy, restarting the BES did not help.

I've had problems with this unit ever since I got it. First it was contacts not coming over. A wipe and several enterprise activations got that to work.

One weird thing in BES Manager on the server is that the device (read-only) statitstics folder doesn't show up for this particular user. It shows up for the other two users, but not this one, and never has. Removing and re-adding the user, along with the steps I described above, haven't helped this problem.

AT&T swears this is not a problem with the device, it's a problem with the BES. I tend to agree, but the other two users work perfectly and there aren't any notable BB errors in the app log.

I'm not crazy about having to upgrade this, because I will lose the free licenses we got from the relatively early version of BESX.
