Unhappy Hourglass spinning of death

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have a Pearl 8130. Yesterday, I rec'd an email with a word/txt attachment. Ever since then, the hourglass pops up and the phone temperary freezes. I deleted the email from my phone, but still no go. I know the email didn't contain a virus.

Also, on a side note, this has happened before. My friend was on Google Maps and went to China, than exited the program. The hourglass popped up and froze after that. We had to move google maps from china to US before it stopped freezing.

I havent pulled the battery yet. I did that when it happened with google maps, and it didn't work.

Any ideas?

I'm having a similar problem. I downloaded an OTA theme yesterday and the hourglass came up. It has been spinning then powering off then spinning since about 11pm last night. I have done a soft reset, pulled the battery, tried to reload the OS and even tried to wipe it using JL_Cmder and cannot connect to the BB long enough. I would be appreciative of any help.

Wirelessly posted (At&t curve)

To the OP, pull the battery. That fixes 99% of problems.

Chris88, have you tried to security wipe it?

If you have a Micro SD card in the device pull it out. If it is corrupt and there are pointers to it such as your background, you will get the eternal reboot.
