| The BlackBerry Messenger icon does not appear on the BlackBerry device. Please Login to Remove! Okay, I searched this topic, and my new curve for some reason does not have the BBM Icon. I've researched and concluded I need the device software, from T-mobiles website. I cant download it however because I dont have a 10-digit phone number from T-mobile.
BB Guru's, please advise. | | Offline

Do you have a Blackberry Data Plan? If so and you still don't have it you will have to load it.
Download the OS here (Carrier doesn't matter cause you will delete the vendor.xml file anyway) How do I upgrade the OS on my BlackBerry? - BlackBerryFAQ
Follow the instructions EXACTLY and when you hit the application loaded make sure that BB Messenger is checked.
If you don't have a Blackberry Data Plan then you won't be able to use it.

Here is the direct link. (Don't be distracted by the link that says get BBM) You need to install the OS on your PC before you can load it. Just pick it for your model and don't sweat that it's not your carrier or your language. https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...3314DF2B3CB9CE
