We have some users who use Blackberry Internet Service to connect to email hosted in Sweden on Outlook Web Access. Previously the Exchange version was 2003 and all worked well. This week the Swedish IT support have upgraded Exchange to 2007, on a new server with a new IP. We still use the same url for the OWA and in a web browser it works fine.
When the upgrade took place the BIS accounts broke and were asking to be validated. We tried to validate and it didn't work. We left it 48 hours for DNS replication and it still didn't work. We tried removing the email account and re-adding it and it didn't work. We tried talking to O2 and Vodafone for suggestions and they didn't help.
I do not administrate the Exchange Server in Sweden and communicating with the Swedish support is not the easiest.
Q1. Can anyone provide me with some sensible questions I should be asking the Swedish Exchange admins regarding their setup as to why it doesn't work?
Q2. Does anyone know if the Blackberry Internet service caches DNS? If it does I guess we may still be pointing to the old server IP?
