Default Blackberry Proprietary encryption?

Please Login to Remove!

Is it still true that BlackBerry uses proprietary encryption for the communication between the BES and srp.xx.blackberry.net?

Furthermore, what is srp.xx.blackberry.net even for? What part does it play in the Blackberry architecture?

Yes. Everything is encrypted. I believe that is the BES's connection to the RIM data system. You'd have to get more info from a BES Admin.
