Default Help, cant hear through the ear piece...

Please Login to Remove!

When I am on a call (incoming or outgoing), I can not hear anything through the ear piece on my Pearl 8100c. The speaker phone works, but not the regular ear piece. I never had the problem before. I did a battery pull and still no go. Help!!!

Could be that the switch in the wired headset jack is stuck. It's happened to me on my old 8703e. Try inserting the headset plug into the jack and removing it a couple of times and see if that fixes things.

Wirelessly posted

Tried your trick. Did not work. I can hear through the wired headset ear piece. Still can't hear through the regular ear piece. I guess my phone is smoked :(

I think that is a known problem. It happened to me. Luckily I was still under warentry and received a free replacement. If memory serves me (and it doesn't nearly as often as I would like! ) there are some instructions, on some threads here, on how to fix the problem by taking the 8100 apart and changing out the part.

Update: still no go, but my media works (sound from music and clips), still can't hear anything when making or receiving calls. Maybe it's a software issue?
