I have some pictures I took and I have imported them to my BB. The only problem is it doesn't fill the screen on my main page. There is a white strip at the top and bottom. Is there a way to fix this or does it have to be sized a certain way? I've tried a couple but haven't had any luck.

I didn't see anything in the FAQs on this.

Open your picture from media, hit zoom, zoom until it fills screen then hit menu key and select set as wallpaper.

This method distorts the picture a little bit though so you pay prefer to resize to fit.

Huh, when I open a picture on my blackberry and hit the menu button I have the options to "Fill Screen" and "Fit to Screen". I think I choose "Fill Screen" and then the picture fills the entire screen with no blank space. Then, hit the menu button again and select "Set as my Homescreen background" or whatever the option is. That should work better than the Zoom option. This should be on your Curve I would imagine unless it's really old and you haven't upgraded the OS. I don't know....
