I'm using an 8330 Curve and am wondering how to get better notifications for email and voicemail? Currently I just get a little beep and the red flashing light. I can't find a way to change notification settings. I'd like to get a continuous beep or noise when there is a voicemail or email. Thank you.

You need a third party app to do a really good job of it... there are several (in no particular order: bbalert, alertmatrix and others) in the aftermarket software section.

Can you just add your own sounds to the ones already on the bb?

yes thats what the link is too. I use all my own and delete the pre installed ones to free up internal memory. I put all my ringtones on my memory card

I have no problem with my notifications...except I have changed everything to 1 notification ring and I keep getting 2!! I've also tried resetting the BB, etc., etc. Nothing works.

Any ideas?

Is there w way to pull out only the 3 or 4 notifier sounds that I want to keep and move them to my memory card so I can delete the preinstalled tone .cod? Alternately, is there a place to download/get those specific notifier_xxxxx tones from the web?

I dont think thats possible.

I like the ability to be able to assign different status LED colors depending on what the notification is. As well as have the BlackBerry continue to notify you visually, by vibration or alert tone at a set interval if you have not responded.

Pulling the preinstalled ones off the device is hard work. It was posted on another site but has been pulled off since. I don't know if it's ok to repost them here or not, I have them in a zip file. Maybe a mod can answer if its ok or not.

Actually, I found them on the web... all zipped up and ready to go.
