I'm using a BB 8310 and just installed google mobile updater which came with google sync... Now when I set it up, would my phone constantly be syncing and would I have to be paying for it out of my rear end since I don't have a data plan? I mean from my calculations this month so far I have used 5.75MB which is 5888KB according to google and since I get charged $0.01 per KB that comes out to 58 bucks. However in this case I actually did download a whole lot of stuff on my phone but would I be gettin charged about that same if I simply use google sync?

You know I'm from some place where we don't have any unlimited BlackBerry data plan... Why wouldn't you get that off AT&T? I think they charge $30 a month and you never have to worry about data usage and enjoy your phone at the same time.. Google sync will surely eat data as that would go over the air unless of course if you could do it via USB...

Get unlimited data you will be better off in the long run.

You could end up spending a couple hundred dollars a month doing downloads and having programs that automatically sync. As you said, you've already spent nearly $60, $30 more than if you had the unlimited BlackBerry data plan with at&t. Why not just go ahead and spend the consistent $30/month on the data plan instead of wondering how much your bill will be each month?

It just makes sense to me.
