I noticed that when I tried to use BB ringtones, they only ring once, not continuously. Like the BB Pro ringtone. Is this normal? Should it just keep repeating the ringtone?


Also, is it OK to share ringtones here, can we share the ringtones we are using on the BB, I am having hard time finding quality tones (not mp3 files or songs, just good type of repeat tones/effects)

When you listen to the preinstalled ringtones they only play once! Sort of like a sample. As for sharing ringtones you can check in the media section for your question about sharing ring tones! Don't know how the forums feel about the copyright issues with ringtones.

If you haven't already, go to: Profiles > Advanced > Menu > Edit > Select which you would like to change and set the number of beeps to 3. It won't continuously ring, but there will be more of them.

There is no way of changing number of beeps in the advanced edit menu of the profile. When I go into Phone when I am editing, it only allows editing number of Vibrations.

I just tested it.
I selected Ringer_BBpro_2 which is the most reasonable out of these limited selection of somewhat business like ringtones.
I selected Vibrate+Tone, as I want it to Vibrate once before ringing.

I called myself from another phone, It rang 5 times on the phone then it went to voice mail. I only heard the phone ringing twice. It just vibrates once, then rings, then vibrates then rings again, but has a huge gap between rings and vibrates, then it goes to voice mail. Pretty bad.

Is there anyway to fix this? Why can't it just vibrate once, then start ringing?

I don't think that is an option for the "phone" just for sms mms etc!

Yeah, that's the problem. I think the file has to be edited to just keep repeating. If the mp3 or the ringtone is short, it will not repeat right away.
