so, on the iPhone there is a very great widget for "stocks".
You simply enter the stocks you want to watch and it updates easily. Very cool.

My question: Is there such an easy way to check stocks on my blackberry, too?

I would love to have it that simple on my BB.

I use PocketDay, which does more than just stocks. As a "today" program, I can see my stocks on the same screen as my day's events, the weather, my unread e-mails, etc.

However, it doesn't do anything beyond showing the current price and the day's change. For charts and other information, I have to look elsewhere. Still haven't found anything that satisfies me in this regard. When I need that kind of information, right now, I use google in my browser. Just enter the stock symbol.
