Default Internet on T-Mobile Curve with Unlimited E-mail Add-on

Please Login to Remove!

I got my BB Curve today from T-Mobile. I have the BlackBerry Unlimited E-mail Add-on service which is working well.

I would like to get even internet without having to subscribe for that again. I believe it might be possible since the BB is already connected to internet to fetch the email. I tried using with wap.voicestream.com setting in APN and also on mini-opera.

Can someone please help ? ( I am not looking for internet over wi-fi ... )

Thanks.

Opera should work with the APN settings. Go to options advanced, options, applications, highlight opera and select edit permissions then ensure they say 'allow'.
Sometimes a few battery pulls are needed to get opera to work.
If you are in the uk wap.voicesteam.com is not the correct APN.
You will also most likely need some kind of data plan to pay for opera mini use or you will end up paying per kb.

yea, pretty sure you need some kind of data plan to get internet. the unlimited email plan likely only covers the specific ports/data transfers that cover downloading e-mail, the rest is either likely blocked, or you will have to pay per KB of data used, which will get very expensive very fast.

Good luck. You'll run the risk of ending up with pay-per-use internet which will make TMO's BIS data plan seem cheap. Get the BB data plan. It's only $19/month.

The $19.99 Unlimited Blackberry Data Plan (that's the price for adding it to a regular minutes phone plan) includes the email you're paying $9.99 per month already. In effect you'd be adding unlimited data for another $10 per month. Best deal in BB data out there! If you end up paying per use for data like Takeshi said, the charges will eat you alive!
