I think whatever doesn't get spent on the Blackberry should go to Cory Scheuer for organizing this whole thing. What do you guys think?

Thanks Cory!

I'm cool with that.

Someone (EZ?) find out what the 8330 is going to cost retail and if you can buy it. Cory is in Canada. Ez....can you get it from your friend at VZW? Maybe Cory can paypal you enough to purchase the device and ship it off to Dawg (since his paypal is closed--yet another story.)

This thread is truly inspiring. It is nice to be part of a community like this one!

I believe Dawg would like the 8830 as well. I remember how he loved his 8703. We will see which device he wants.

Disagree... Whatever is left *should* be donated to charity in the name of the BBF....

Why would anyone CHOOSE the 8830 over the 8330?? Unless you weren't allowed to have a camera or something.

You'll never get all the contributors to agree which charity would get the donation.
My vote is for Cory to keep the excess.

Lets find out what he wants, what it costs and then shoot for that plus shipping. We don't want to over collect.

This was/is a great thing! Very very nice of everyone.

Ill tell ya guys what, whatever is over ill match it and we give it to a charity!! Dawg can chose the charity. After all, if it wasnt for him smashing his device, none of this would have been possible.

Guys. I've been a member of BBF from the frist few days it started. I come and go at times due to work load. This is one of the coolest things to do for someone you know from a forum and shows how tight this forum is and how everyone does truly help everyone else. I through some money into the ring as well.
Dawg, I met you at WES this year as well, with NJBlackberry and JIBI at the TMO party. Enjoy your new BB.

Hello everyone!

Current balance is at $405.00 and counting. I just have to say I am really impressed with this. When I first set this up I was thinking, oh maybe we'll get$100 to help dawg out. But this has really exceeded my expectations!

Thank you all!

Ok guys wow I stand amazed. I will take the curve but will take a pearl at this point I am not going to be picky at all. I played with both today. I tried what you told me to do EZ and I got the run around and youll have to pay full price.

As far as the charity goes. I think anything to do with cancer would be my choice as my father is dieing from cancer his sister has breast cancer. So anything left please donate it that way.

Dawg...I've used both and I do like the Curve better. However, whatever you want, get it.

So, what's it gonna be? Curve or Pearl?

Dawg, I have the 8330 from Verizon and I would recommend that over the Pearl Personally. I got to demo both of them before I decided and I love the Curve much more.

And as for the Cancer Charity, I think that is a great idea. 100% support here on that.

i've not even been online much at all today, but this is just awesome. honestly, not just the best thread of the year, but quite possibly the best thread of BBF's existence.
