Yep. All I can say is wow!! A special thanks to Cory for getting this going. It's one of the nicest things I've seen any community do and I'm proud to be a member here.

Thank you to everyone who has donated and will donate as whatever is donated now goes to Cancer research.

Again, this is a proud day in BBF history where we've seen what the community here is made of. Good work everyone, and on behalf of the entire BBF Moderator team......Thank You!!

Man, I'm not sure how I've missed this thread for the past couple of days but wow, this is amazing.

Great job to everyone involved, this is truly quite the little family we have here. Sorry to hear about your BB Dawg, also I wish I could donate as well but I don't have a paypal account so I'll make a donation to a local cancer research center around the area as it has affected my family as well.

Again great job everyone!

Well Donations are currently on hold, as paypal deemed it necessary to block the account. I'm in the process of getting it unblocked. Once that is done i will let everyone know! thanks!

Congrats DAWG

Enough cannot be said about the good we have done to help someone in need and the help the money left over will help in the charity it goes to

Here is a idea I want to throw out there, since a donation to charity is going to be made how about those of us with a box full of old BBs that we aren't using, auction them off with proceeds going to the chosen charity that the current overage is going too???

Why give only once when we can continually give. I am sure there are alot of devices we have no intention of using but hold onto for no reason, now we can make a difference by parting with them.

Man that device is freakin' sweet! I want to run out and get one, but my wife would stone me if I got the curve even though she is part of the BB family and LOVES her 8130.

What a great forum to be apart of. It's interesting that DAWG posted the story about his Dad. A friend of mine is a member of a Dodge Hemi forum and they do stuff like this all the time. Contributing to others. Great notion, great feeling and overall great karma. Who would have thought that a bunch of "strangers" would be able to help someone in need out. I wish I had contributed earlier. Didn't get to this thread until now. Have fun with the new Curve DAWG...

I feel great about this as well

Dawg and I have similar views on helping others

and being able to donate to a charity is icing on the cake.

I donated 25.00 to Childrens Hospital of the Kings Daughter's a worthy childrens hospital without whom I would have one fewer niece and nephew.

Today I will donate to an animal facility they need help too

I gave a little, very little actually, but I figured every little dollar count(s)(ed). I would have given more, but the pocket book is a hurting unit these days.

Anyways, good karma has boomeranged to me in a very good way.

So as some of you already know, I am trading my 8320 for a 8310. Both units are airbourne, so I am (was) using my girlfriends crappy old Samsung t509 (she currently uses a 8100!) and I was talking to my co-worker that I usually in our lunch room and asked me WTF I was doing with a crap phone and where is my Curve!

Well, I told him my story and that I was going to be without a BB for a week or so and he, an 8820 user himself, said that I could 'have' his old 8700c. He was glad to donate. Very Awesome; in my most humbled reciprocation , I gave him $15 in lunch bucks that he can use here in our cafeteria. He was totally cool and chill and I of course am very thankful.

Its funny that this happened a day after I made my embarrassing donation to DAWG. Karma is two-fold, good and bad. I am very honored to be a part of this forum and community. It is refreshing to know that cyber friends can be just as fulfilling in life as real-life friends. You guys and gals ROCK!

Thanks guys, I am going to wipe my happy tears now before my co-workers start the wedgey train on me.
