ok, im getting a nextel blackberry from my friends dad. its a 6230 or in that family. if i want to switch it over to cingular or tmobile, how would i do that or can i do that?

if its a nextel you cant you can only use a nextel on nextel or Mike in canada it would also be a 6510 which is a first generation nextel BB its black and white screen no speaker phone for DC or phone. Not alot of applications for it either.

what if it's not a nextel, but came from a business that got it directly from RIM? Im pretty sure its going to be a 6230

you may or may not have to have it unlocked to use on particular carriers I am not familiar with a 6230 so cant answer any of the questions about it.

i just googled it looks like a black and white screen also offered at tmobile.

tmobile is now selling the 6230 with new plan for only $49.99 online only
