Is there any way to remove the messenger from the BB? I don't see it in the Applications list.

If it's not on the application list, it is either not installed or incorrectly installed. Try reinstalling and then uninstalling it :p

Thats what I woud suggest. Run the installer again and once it completed, uninstall it and it should be gone.

Well I installed it from www.blackberry.com/messenger where it requires you to connect the BB via sync cable to install. The icon appears in the ribbon and it seem to run.

Should I reinstall the same way?

Send a PIN to someone, that will tell you for sure if it is working.

Wirelessly posted (7250: BlackBerry7250/4.0.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

Install it over the air, then uninstall it.

It will show pending until they accept. Try mine.

The ActiveX Application Loader does not put an entry into the Applications list. Go to the Applications list, then click your trackwheel and click on Modules. You will want to delete the following:

net_rim_bb_qm_peer_resource_en.cod
net_rim_bb_qm_peer.cod
net_rim_bb_smileys_default.cod

Each one will most likely ask you to reboot. Choose No for the first two and Yes for the last. After that, it will be removed. This is the big caveat of using the AXLoader for installation. I ripped it from their website and have it installed and configured for multiple applications on my intranet at work, and this is the one major pitfall I found (and there is no current workaround for listing the install in Applications, unfortunately).

Thanks jibi. That did the trick.

I couldn't get the messenger to work at all.

Please PM me or PIN me at 2024855A to assist me in setting up messenger. It is installed, but my requests for contacts are not being received (after verifying PIN) and my acceptance of requests is not adding contacts on either device.

Thanks in advance!

Are you sending requests to folks who have the messenger installed? If not, they will get the request, but you won't see anything until they install messenger and accept.
