Default Switch between inbox and calendar?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

If i'm viewing my inbox/email is there a shortcut to switch straight into calendar? Many of my appointment/meeting dates arrive in the form of email, the switch would make it easier and quicker to transfer them straight to calendar.

Can someone also explain how "meeting request" works ?

Cheers

When you receive a meeting request, hit the menu key and there should be a menu selection for "View Calendar."

In Outlook, when you create an appointment, one option that you have is to "invite attendees." In most corporate settings one person takes the responsibility for scheduling the meeting and then sends out meeting invites with all of the particulars -- date, time, call in numbers for conference calls, etc. I suspect JC was assuming that you were receiving these invitations as opposed to email requests "crafted from scratch," so to speak.

Assuming that you are NOT receiving Outlook-based meeting invitations, if you install BBSmart as an email viewer you would be able to "inject" the email into either tasks or calendar, or both. Works slick.

Thanks for the reply.

As you suggested our meeting dates arrive in the form of a standard text email. Is there any kind of short cut that takes you from email directly to calendar? Something like "press letter c when viewing mail" ?

Cheers

Rob.

Not to hijack your thread but I'm looking for something similar to move contact info directly to the Calendar. Looking at my doc's name/phonenumber, and now I want to schedule an appt - press a key and Calendar opens with the doc's info copied and now I just pick the time/date.
